Ladies' 4s murder Marlow

After a win last week, the Ladies 4s were hoping to carry their success to the away location. We came out strongly with much of the possession for the first half of the game. A combination of strong defence and great passing up the pitch lead to our first goal by Megan Davies. Marlow had a few breaks but were kept in check, in particular by Katie Cannon on the left, leaving it 1-0 at half time.

After a short break, we were straight back into the game with a goal from a short corner scored by Sandra. The ball was kept in our half and some lovely team play from Linda and Sandra lead to our second goal. After a largely Hawks dominated game, Marlow began to break through with some strong play from the mid-line. A few quick passes around their forward line led to their first goal. The attack continued and Megan Magrowsky our goalie made a confident save but sadly Marlow crept a second goal past us making it 3-2. The team (and supporters!) were feeling the pressure but the defence regrouped and returned the play to our attacking half. Some great passing between the mid-line and forwards led to our 4^th goal from Sandra after a great cross from Sophie. This made it a hat-trick for Sandra and left the final score at 4-2 to Hawks.

Man of the match went to Katie Cannon whose strong defensive work kept Marlow away from the left wing and supported the Hawks mid and forward line.
