Ladies 4th XI vs Banbury October 2011

With 11 players and no Goalie, Deborah was our kicking back.  Banbury scored their first goal in the the 1st minute, easy with no goalie, second goal came shortly but Hawks respond with a strong attack putting pressure on the Banbury goalie with 3 shots on goal.  2 more shorts for Hawks unfortunately not paying off as the Banbury goalie does a good job.  Hawks defend a Banbury short just before half time, preventing a further goal.  2nd half Sophie A is in goals, what a star!!  Hawks quickly concede 2 shorts, Banbury goalie continuing a good defence. Tireless work by Laurie and Jane and great defence by Emma and Deborah.  Sophie had a quiet game in goal until the final 5 minutes with Banbury's 3rd goal conceded.  Final score 3-0 to Banbury but a fantastic game played by Hawks.

Man of the match was Laurie Young for her skill and energy in attacking.
