Men's 4th XI vs Windsor October 2011
22 October 2011
Men's 4s 1 - 2 Windsor Men's 2s
Windsor 2's 2 Hawks 4's 1
How on earth did we lose that? That was what the '4's were asking themselves as they trudged off at full time. After half time, the team talk was more positive- loads of possession, some great passing and movement, a good debut for Jack Colebrooke, and we should be 6 up, not the paltry 1 goal. It would appear that the skippers upbeat half time talk was not as good as his oppositions! Unfortunately the second half saw some lack of shape by HAwks, which resulted in the opposition managing to score two goals. Even then, we had enough opportunities to win the game. A post, a crossbar, 10 shorts to their 3, some great saves by their keeper, and it just wasnt meant to be......
Still, onwards and upwards - West Hampstead next week.
Not many candidates for man of the match, so it goes to Jack Colebrooke for a spirited debut in mens hockey.
