• Ladies' 4s finish on a high!

  Despite a great deal of possession we struggled to score in the first half. Rebecca Black scored just before half time and Linda Phiilips just after. We won.

• An expected loss to Buckingham but we scored first!

  We expected to lose this match as Buckingham 2s are very strong. We were delighted when Linda scored the first goal.

• Ladies' 4s in fine form at Reading

  Most of the game was in Reading's half to begin with. Our attack was rewarded by a goal when Megan, on the far post, lifted a cross into the roof of the net.

  After last week’s slow start, the Ladies' Fours decided to focus on a proper warm up with a mini game and short corner practice.

  After several of us getting lost for half an hour within the tiny village of Bradfield, a four minute warm up meant a slow start for Hawks.

  On a late chilly afternoon with the rain just ceasing the Ladies 4's took on Oxford Uni who are one place above them in the league.

• Ladies' 4s lose to Bicester

  Hawks started slowly against Bicester with two short corners in the first five minutes. One of which they scored from. Hawks soon equalised but lost 1-3.

  With Banbury sitting just below Hawks in the league, Ladies' 4s were pleased to win 6-3.

• Ladies' 4s in winning ways at Windsor

  Ladies' 4s had a close-fought game against Windsor. Final score 2-1 to Hawks – not a great performance but a good win.

• Fours put up a good fight in a friendly v. Witney

  Winey 3's were due to play our 3s but they had a rearranged league game. So instead they played our 4s in a friendly.

  After a high scoring match the previous week, expectations were high. On a cold morning everyone was raring to go.

• Ladies' 4s raze Reading to the ground 15-0

  It was a real goalfest for Hawks Ladies' 4s. It was not that Reading played badly, it was just that we made better use of the space.

• Ladies' 4s murder Marlow

  Hawks dominated the 1st half but only scored 1 goal. Marlow retaliated in the 2nd half until the score was 3-2 but Sandra completed a hat-trick so we won 4-2.

• Oxford Hawks Ladies' 4s ran rings round Scarlet Runners

  Hawks Ladies' 4s beat Scarlet Runners with speed, skill and determination. The final score of 4-0 illustrated a game played predominantly in the attaching half.

  Hawks started off strong with a great sense of attack, quickly getting a couple of goals. They then lost the plot & were drawing 3-3 but recovered to win 6-3.

  This was a match we were determined to win. With four ex-Bicester players in the squad there was a passion to beat them all the preceding week. We did, 6-1!
