Here is the dream team for the whole fantasy league, for those who missed the announcement at the Dinner Dance. This team would have scored a whopping 1609 points, which is a lot more than even the winning team, H's "Spurs3Inter1", which scored 1232 points.

That's all from the fantasy league until next year!
Fantasy League is COMPLETE! We have a winner! Congratulations to John ‘H’ Kaluza whose ‘Spurs3Inter1’ has pipped Caroline Baggs to first place by just 7 points! Dave Hughes, Andy Clark and Laura Scragg make up the top 5.
Cash prizes for H, Caroline and Dave coming your way on Saturday! In last place (to the relief of the organiser) was Keith Taylor’s ‘The Cheapest Team’ with Nick Ferraby not far ahead. (ok, 400 points ahead, but still second last!). Biggest score of the week was Laura Scragg’s ‘Team Tiddly Winks’ with a massive 110.
On the playing front Lucy Millington takes top spot, after a quite fantastic season for the Harriers! Mark Crowley and Steve Griffiths share second, with Dave Cresswell in 4th (not bad considering he’s missed a few games!) and Sandra Frankland jumping from 16th to complete the top 5 with a huge 37 points this week.
Chris Blackburn was the “Best Value” player scoring 44.5 points per pound of his price (ok, maybe £2 was a bit cheap!!). Highest individual score was from James Rogers with his 5 goals in the Fledglings 9-2 win in February – congratulations James!

Listen out for the All Star Dream Team for the whole season which will be announced at the Dinner Dance on Saturday!
Only one more weekend to go!! And all change at the top again! John ‘H’ Kaluza’s ‘Spurs3Inter1’ has jumped into top spot, pushing Caroline Baggs into second. And Dave Hughes has come from nowhere (well, 14th) to take the final prize spot in 3rd place. But all could change with 1 week to go!!
Lowest score of the week was from Hugh Lazenby’s ‘Liquorice All Stars’ and Bex ‘Strange’s Squad’ who only picked up a measly 45 points a piece.
On the playing front, Mark Crowley and Steve Griffiths have made a valiant attempt to catch Lucy Millington, but I fear it may be too little too late, as Lucy is still 60 points clear!

Firstly an error from last week – it was in fact son James Rogers rather than father Nick Rogers who scored 5 goals and got MOM in the Fledglings big win! (The actually Fantasy League scores are correct, it’s just my reporting of the feat which was somewhat inaccurate!) Well done James!
Some big changes at the top of the table! Caroline Baggs’ ‘The Brand’ jumps into first place with a huge 142 points, the highest of the week, mainly thanks to Dave Cresswell’s and Sandra Frankland’s hat tricks, and Nick Ferraby’s brace and MOM. Jane Chilvers is still in second, but John Kaluza is now in 3rd place, up from 9th!
On the players front, I have my doubts as to whether Dave Cresswell can catch Lucy Millington, but you never know! Mark Crowley, Georgie Blanchard and Steve Griffiths make up the top 5.

Finally a note to say that since the Fantasy League must end before the Dinner Dance (as this is when the awards are presented), a few upcoming games are worth DOUBLE POINTS, as every team needs to have played the same number of games to make the competiton fair. Games are: M2s, M4s, Senators, Falcons, L4s, L5s on 12/03, and L3s, L5s on 19/03. (And I’ll work out what to do about the Senators as they are still 3 matches short!!)
We have a complete change at the top! Jane Chilvers’ ‘Maybe this year’ takes over top spot with 876 points, 5 ahead of Rory Phibbs! Caroline Baggs’ ‘The Brand’ and Adrian’s ‘The Chairman’s XI’ also move into the top 5. Biggest score of the week was for Mark Crowley’s Heroes with 93.
On the players front, James Rogers scored 5 goals and picked up MOM in the Fledglings massive win! This gave him 42 points, which is a tie for the record points scored in one game, joint with Lucy Millington.
The battle continues at the top, with the lead changing yet again! Rory Phibbs bumps Sam Raynor into 2nd, with Callum Chapman slipping to 3rd! Laura Scragg’s “Team Tiddly Winks” had a great week, jumping up to 4th, but not as good as Charlie Bennett’s “For The Wheel” who picked up a RECORD 181 points, mainly thanks to having his whole family in his fantasy league team. This concludes the ‘Bennett’s Grand Day Out’. At the other end, there was a tie for the lowest score of the week, with Barney Gordon’s “Rinners’ Winners” and Keith Taylor's “Cheapest Team” sharing the honours with 29 points each.
On the players front Dave Cresswell jumps into second! His hat trick in the Mens 1s 8-0 win giving him a massive 25 points. Can he catch Lucy Millington?

And you could also have had Sally Clark instead of Jane Warne.
The top three teams continues to swap about, with Sam Raynor’s ‘In it to win it’ taking top spot this week! However hot on their heels is the ‘Chairman’s XI’ managed by Adrian Higgins who has come from nowhere (well, 14th) to jump into 5th spot with the highest score of the week of 112, mainly thanks to all his players having a good week, rather than just a few indivuduals. Second highest score of the week was from Lucy Stoy’s “The Stoyboys” with 95.
On the players front Lucy Millington did her score no harm with a hat trick in the Harriers 9-0 win! George Ratcliffe had the second highest score picking up 20 points in the Mens 2s win with a clean sheet and MOM.

The previous issues have now been resolved so Week 6 scores are now corrected!
And we have a change at the top! Sam Raynor’s “In it to win it” have been bumped down to 3rd, with Rory Phibbs taking over top spot after a big score of 97 this week. Highest score of the week was 121 from Ollie Morris’ ‘Team Mango’, which contains Jane Warne, Sophie Bennett, Sam Raynor and Flick Hughes, all who scored highly this week.
On the players front the top seven remains unchanged with Lucy Millington holding top spot, but Henri Coles breaks into the top ten in 8th place (the Ladies 1s had two games which qualified for points this week, hence the Ladies 1s all-round high scoring). Nick Rogers completes the top ten after big win for the Fledglings.
Well, Sam Raynor’s team is still in the lead but Rory Phibbs’ “Midget’s Magnificent XI” has had a cracking week with 91 points and is only 5 points behind! However the highest score of the week was from Adrian Higgins’ “Chairman’s XI” with a whopping 104 points, 22 of them from Dave Cresswell. Actually it was the joint highest score as Phil (female) Williams (in case anyone wonders why I put ‘female’, Phil’s husband is also called Phil, and he has a Fantasy team too!) scored 104 as well. And she has Dave Cresswell too!
On the playing front, the top 8 is still the Harriers plus Mark Crowley, but Dave Cresswell and Freddie Coppin sneak into the top ten!

You could also have had Laura Wingfield-Digby instead of Henri Coles.
Sam Raynor’s “In it to win it” still have the lead with 341 points, but Kerrie Crowley and Rory Phibbs are not far behind. At the other end Keith Taylor’s “The Cheapest Team” continues to make me happy as his last place means my pricing system can’t be too far off! Highest score of the week from Nick Lamb’s “forgedaboudit” with 96, lowest score of zero (impressive) from Ollie Taylor’s “The Youngest Team”. We’ll let him off, he’s only one…..
On the playing front, it’s still dominated by the Harriers as they’ve played so many more qualifying games, but Mark Crowley is hot on their heels, scoring a whopping 23 points with a hat trick and MOM in the Senators game this week. Not often the Mens 4s get a mention here, so well done to Karl Hack for the second highest score of the week – his 18 coming helped by his brace in the Mens 4s big win.

Fixtures havoc already! But don’t worry, all the replayed games will count for Fantasy League points instead (captains – please make sure you tell Henri when your games are happening).
However Mark Crowley is living up to his £21 price tag, with 4 goals and MOM! And he makes Barney Gordon, Andrew Sheridan, Sam Crowley, Sam Chilvers and Tim Tinson very happy, as they are the only 5 managers to pick him.
On the players front the Harriers still occupy the top 6 spots, but remember for now it’s slightly artificial as they have had more of their games so far (not that the Harriers aren’t great though!). Mr Crowley is then in 7th. Rory Phibbs’ ‘Midget's Magnificent XI’ have jumped ahead of Kerrie Crowley (how many more Crowleys can I mention in this section!!) to top spot, with Glenda Crockett’s ‘Goalscoring Giants’ not quite doing the goalscoring yet as she brings up the rear with 13 points. Early days though!
No dream team this week as my computer told me there were millions of possible combinations, because of only having the 3 games to play with. Therefore only 6 players could be used (max two per team), and therefore the other 5 players could be anyone from the remaining players in Fantasy League. Therefore millions of possible dream teams. Therefore machine time = 2 weeks to compute. So no dream team, sorry! (Mark, I think you would have made it…)
We are underway! Are you beating your mates? Don’t be too disheartened by Kerrie Crowley’s huge score – remember the Harriers have effectively had 6 qualifying games already so teams containing Harriers will be artificially high up right now!
Instead of lots of ‘Henri waffle’ each week, I will try to keep the details brief, and seeing as I love statistics, I will force them upon you instead! We have 88 teams entered this year, one more than last year! And here is the Dream Team from the competition so far (remember not all teams have had qualifying games so far, so e.g. Dave Cresswell does not feature!)
This ‘legally formed’ team has scored 284 points so far - for info, there are actually 3 permutations which score 284 points so far, so don’t shout at me asking why you’re not listed this week!

Welcome to Fantasy League 2010-2011
This is the fourth year in a row that we are running a fantasy league and giving you the opportunity to show how good a manager you are. Plus there are prizes to be won!
Again, there is no cost to enter. But there are cash prizes!
Prizes will be awarded to the teams with the most points as follows:
1st place: £40
2nd place: £20
3rd place: £10
Additionally, there are prizes for players - the players who finish with the highest points/price ratio, the most points overall, and the most points in a single game will each win prizes. (Player prices have been created based on last season’s results and games so far this season).
This year, again by popular demand, you may optionally choose one or two substitutes. The total team budget is fixed; therefore if you choose to have a substitute or two, you will have less to spend per player. So if you don’t want to worry about when or if to make substitutions, you don’t have to, just pick your best 11 players and have more to spend.
