Season 2011/12

The first training session of the new season 2011/12 will be on Sunday 11th September; we are very much looking forward to being back at our clubhouse and playing at our fantastic new pitches at Banbury Rd North

Also, England Hockey have changed the age qualification date for all England Hockey competitions and Leagues from 1st January to 1st September; this means that age groups will now be as follows (school year refers to the new year starting in September 2011):

U18s 17 or under on 31st August 2011 (school years 12 and 13)
U16s 15 or under on 31st August 2011 (school years 10 and 11)
U14s 13 or under on 31st August 2011 (school years 8 and 9)
U12s 11 or under on 31st August 2011 (school years 6 and 7)
U10s 9 or under on 31st August 2011 (school years 4 and 5)
U8s 7 or under on 31st August 2011 (school years 3 and below)

This may mean that a small number of young players will potentially be in the same age group for the third year in a row. While this may suit some players, we recognise that it might not be the best thing for others. If you think your child will be adversely affected by this change, please get in touch with Sue Clark at

Sue_Clark@ntlworld.com or 01865 750535. Also, please know that for any older players involved in Junior Development Centres (JDCs), Junior Academy Centres (JACs) or any Single System activity, the age qualification date will remain 1st January.

Fees

The junior membership fee is £75 for the season. This includes all training fees. A match fee of £3 is payable for all games and tournaments. The fee can be paid in two instalments if necessary; a cheque for £40 at the start of the season and a second cheque for £35, preferably handed in at the start of the season but post-dated 1^st Jan 2012 will help with collection of fees. A family membership fee is available – please see Jan Roche at training for details.

Kit

Playing shirts are provided for matches. Hoodies, socks, tracksuit bottoms, waterproof jackets and other items of kit are available from the club shop which is open most Sunday mornings.
