Welcome to Oxford Hawks Colts Section

Oxford Hawks is committed to providing an enjoyable, safe, child friendly environment where all young players, regardless of ability, receive quality coaching and the opportunity to enjoy playing a team sport with friends. Oxford Hawks is Clubmark accredited, recognising that it is a safe organisation that follows best practice guidelines.

Junior hockey at Oxford Hawks was established by current Club President Paddy Roche in 1990. Since those early days the Colts Section has grown rapidly to the 240 plus members and large group of highly committed volunteer coaches and organisers that exists today. Hawks runs junior teams from U8s to U18s and these have achieved notable successes in competitions at all levels and age groups over recent years.

The junior section has very strong links with the senior teams and a successful policy of supporting players through junior teams and into the senior sides in the club. There are a number of adult teams designed for development of young players, the Fledglings for the older boys, a Boys Development XI for younger boys, and the Harriers for girls.

Training times are from 9.00am to 2.30pm on Sunday, depending on age group.

We are now getting set for the new season and looking forward to playing on the club's two new astroturf pitches. Look out for announcements in Squawks for start of the season dates.
